The safety hood, together with the battery-driven SR 500/SR 500 EX or SR 700 fan and approved filters, are included in Sundström fan-assisted respiratory protection systems. The safety hood breathing hose connects to the fan, which is equipped with filters. The overpressure formed in the safety hood prevents particles and other contaminants from entering the safety hood. The equipment can be used as an alternative to filter protection in all situations in which the latter is recommended. This applies particularly to work that is hard, warm or of long duration.
